- How did modeling happen
I used to blog about my personal style and that's how I ended up modeling for my posts. My mom encouraged me to pursue it further because she thought I had it in me to be the next Miss India. That's how my journey began.

2. Describe your Miss India experience
My experience at Miss India 2016 was as amazing as it could be. I had the time of my life and learned something new every day. I got a glimpse of all the glamor everyone raves about. It was wonderful.
- Was acting always on cards
Yes. Somewhere I always knew I wanted to do something in the entertainment and fashion industry. I never thought about what I would do after Miss India, but destiny got me to Mumbai and that's when I realized that this is what I wanted to pursue.

- Why this film (Raja Abrodiya), What motivated you? How do you relate yourself with the character?
Raja Abroadiya has a wonderful storyline and the first time I heard it, I made me laugh really hard. That's when I knew I wanted to be a part of this film. Rom-coms are, without a doubt, my favorite genre. I feel very connected to the character I'm playing. Her name is Preeti and she is like me in so many ways.
- Today Competition is tough, how do you see yourself in the industry that is crowded with star kids?
I believe everyone in the industry works hard, whether or not they have a family which has been in the industry. Everyone gets what they deserve and what they've worked for. We have to keep giving our best to progress despite the family background that we have. I'm sure if I'm true to my work, I'll be appreciated for it.

- As you have just stepped in, what challenges do you foresee?
I still have to learn a lot about Films, acting and everything related to it. I have a long way to go. Since I want to play a variety of characters, I have to work on myself in every way and be versatile.
- This domain is very uncertain, what’s your plan B?
I don't have a plan B. This is it. This is where I’ll be and I'll work day and night to make plan A happen.
- Actresses today have gone very bold. What are your dos and don'ts as far as roles go?
I'm still not very comfortable going bold on screen. If I ever come across a good script and the story demands it, I might consider it.

- Who inspires you from Bollywood?
Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut are two actresses I look up to.
- Who inspires you from Hollywood?
Margot Robbie is one of my favorite actresses and Leonardo DiCaprio is someone I've been inspired by since I was in school.
- What keeps you going in life apart from acting?
Apart from acting and my other interests, the quality time spent with my family and friends keeps me going. Whenever I need a break from work, I always go back to my hometown and spend time with them.
