Aurous Avatar Entertainment marks the entry into Bollywood

Alongside Hollywood and Tollywood with a slew of films

After tasting success with Gujarati and Marathi films, Aurous Avatar Entertainment is now venturing into Bollywood, Hollywood, and Tollywood with a slew of films. Incorporated in 2014, Aurous Avatar, headed by Rohit K Shetty and Priiya Nair, has the presence in motion picture production. 

Aurous Avatar first international project is a docu-drama named ‘Hare Krishna! The Mantra, The Movement and The Swami who started it all’, which depicts the life of Srila Prabhupada, the founder of ISCON.  Directed by John Griesser, the docu-drama revolves around the 70-year-old Indian Swami who arrives in America penniless but ignites a spiritual phenomenon now famously known as The Hare Krishna Movement. 

Aurous Avatar is making its entry into Bollywood this year with a Children-based movie named ‘Nanhe Einstein’. The writer of this film is Saiwyn Quadras, who has written the biopics Mary Kom (2014) and Neerja (2016)

As for the Tollywood audience, Aurous Avatar will be releasing two films this year. 

Commenting on this exciting new development Priiya Nair, Director of Aurous Avatar said, “We are thrilled to announce these new projects which marks our entry into Bollywood, Tollywood, and Hollywood. Our focus has always been on producing quality films and giving chance to new talents. These movies are a testimony to our commitment to nurture new talents and produce high-quality films.”

Aurous Avatar first Marathi film produced was ‘What About Savarkar?’ which was released in 2015 and received 12 nominations and won six awards for the best film and best director category. The second Marathi film was named ‘Ghanta’ in association with Nitin Vaidya, founder, Essel Vision, and released under his production house named Dashyami Films.

The third film is a Gujarati movie named ‘Tamburo’, which claims to have the biggest star cast in the 85 years history of Gujarat. 

Apart from the above, there are four other projects in the pipeline: Underproduction is a Marathi film titled ‘DADAR 1992’, a Telugu movie named ‘Dipawali’, another Telugu action/thriller film titled ‘Black & White’, and Hindi movie titled ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’ which is in pre-production stage
